The Lane Community College Foundation announces a call for indoor art for the newly opened health and wellness building. The call, which is open now through March 24, 2011, is searching for site-specific commissioned pieces, and portable art of all mediums. This opportunity is limited to professional Oregon artists over 18 years old, and is accessible through www.callforentry.org.
The art itself will follow the theme of holistic health and wellness of the individual, and be placed throughout the building on the main campus of Lane Community College.
Each call is limited to 150 applicants, and interested artists should prepare a brief artist statement, 1-6 images, prices of art, and a professional resume to be submitted through the Call for Entry web site.
Art will be evaluated based on the artistic merit; quality of materials; appropriateness for the site; and relevance to the theme of holistic health and wellness of the individual. The selection committee will include representatives from Lane’s faculty and staff, local artists, the Lane Community College Board members and other professionals from the Oregon art community.
