AT DIVA THIS WEEKEND


Eugene's DIVA Center, Friday 5:30 PM - Opening of "Visions From Within" art exhibit by current and formerly incarcerated Oregon prisoners. Then 7:30PM Saturday, “A New Poetry” series presents distinguished visiting writers, Karen McPherson, Sam Lohmann and James Yeary.

  1. Hey! Next week is the last week of this Exhibition "Visions from Within." For this exhibition, the DIVA Gallery is open Wed-Sat, 1-5 p.m., through March 30.

    "Visions from Within" is also shown at the Eugene Public Library and the Gallery at the Airport - and is part of Sponsors, Inc. 40th anniversary serving our community by providing transitional housing and employment opportunities to people who are released from Oregon prisons and jail in Lane County. Proceeds from art sales will benefit Sponsors, Inc. and DIVA.

    "Visions from Within" is presented in collaboration with the UNESCO/UO Conference on “Prisons, Compassion, and Peace” with various events held throughout the community including the Eugene Opera’s production of “Dead Man Walking,” which ended on March 17th.
