This year’s event features a film critic seminar, a meet-the-filmmaker public reception, film screenings, and a closing reception and awards ceremony. The Saturday, January 26th Festival, hosted by DIVA, will be held in the UO Baker Center Auditorium at 320 E. 10th Street in Eugene.

This is the third year the Short Film/Video Competition has accepted films from across the entire state of Oregon. As the name suggests, it’s an “open” festival, with submissions from both emerging filmmakers and professionals. This year’s selections include: drama, comedy, documentary, thrillers, experimental film, and animation.

The awards ceremony will follow the evening screening and include a reception with food and refreshments provided by A Sweet Life Patisserie. Catering provided by Flavors Catering. The juried awards are for Best of Show ($500) and Honorable Mention ($250). The Audience Favorite award is for $100. Voting will take place immediately after the screening.
